“You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:8, 9 HCSB)”

Yes I do! I get emotional when I think on all God has done in my life. Everyone thinks because I have been a Christian my whole life, that it was easy or I was extremely sheltered. It is actually quite the opposite. But I praise God every day for the continuous flow of love, grace and forgiveness that he has shown me. God is not just a being Who resides over your head and has no clue what goes on in your life. Because of my relationship with God, I had someone constantly to talk to when I hurt because my sister was gone. And when I grew up I had a friend to talk to when I didn’t know who else to go because my heart was broken over a boy. And as a married woman I have someone to talk to when my husband drives me crazy and I don’t know who to turn.
I know it’s hard for many do understand the concept of talking and having a relationship with somebody that you cannot see. But let me tell you can feel it. And that’s how I know God is there. I feel his presence in the quiet and when my world is crashing down around me. I hear soft words. And I see His gift of beauty in nature and in my home. Why would I not love somebody who has loved me so unconditionally, when I didn’t deserve it when I didn’t earn it. And knowing, because of his word, that he will never leave me or forsake me and will love me always and will be there with the corrective hand when I do wrong. How can I not repay him for all that he has done for me with utter devotion? I am his daughter and he is my King! ?
