Good morning ☀️ readers!

Can you believe it’s November? The holiday season is upon us and soon, if you haven’t already, the Christmas Tree will go up.

But Not Yet.

Let’s take a tropical trip in our minds as we pull up a chair to have a chat with author, K.J. Rowe. Ms. Rowe is a new to me author, so I am looking forward to this interview.

Welcome to the kitchen table here at Back Porch Reads, K.J. Rowe. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit with us.

Several of my readers dream of publishing the stories that are buried within. What advice would you give to aspiring writers who are just starting out?

Just start. Sit down and start writing. It won’t look good, but as you go along you will learn and grow and your story will come together. Trust the process – but you need to start first. 😀

Very true, because once you catch the bug of writing, there is no stopping.

What kind of impact do you hope your writing will have on readers?

I hope to remind young people of their eternal importance. Each of us have been created and our lives sustained for an incredible purpose. The Lord has given each of us gifts to help us with the calling to His service; these gifts Jesus promises to grow and develop as we trust in Him. To link themselves in with a youth group – if they are not currently in one – and form those lasting relationships and deepen their love and faith in Jesus.

AMEN!

Let’s talk about Unassailable.

Were there any unexpected plot twists or character developments that surprised you while writing?

Yes. It blindsided me! I can only conclude it has come from inspiration from the Lord. I cannot reveal much about this as that comes out in book 5 Unyielding.

Isn’t it funny how that happens?
What message, if any, do you hope your book conveys to readers?

That God is not finished with any of us. He has an incredible plan for each of our lives and no matter what happens to us, He works it all to our good and His glory.

Beautifully stated.
Can you share any details about your upcoming projects or works-in-progress?

I am currently working on a follow up series after Cast of Silver is completed. The follow up series will focus in on some of the secondary characters readers met in the Casts of Silver series and will go into how the witness of the Five main leaders from Casts of Silver impacted their lives. I want to highlight that our witness is far and away more powerful than we even consider. Sometimes those most impacted, are people we have  never spoken to – but are watching us.

Well said.

Thank you again for joining us today. I pray this tour is a blessing to you, K.J. Rowe, and that Unassailable is a success.

Readers, please

About the Book

Book: Unassailable

Author:K.J. Rowe

Genre: Teen/Young Adult

Release date: June 18, 2024

To be picture perfect on the outside can cause people to think you have it all together on the inside. Which is exactly the case for Hope Meyer.

Stuck in a dead-end job with no vision for her future, parents arguing at home and newly-single under terms she bitterly objects to, Hope puts on a brave front in the face of friends. Only, she’s not as subtle as she thinks. Called out on her pretense by a close friend and, drawn into a mission project that causes her to question everything she’s been led to believe, Hope finds herself floundering.

Until recently, the perfect hair, manicured nails, a wardrobe straight out of a fashion magazine and a handsome suitor by her side had defined her. Now seeing those things as insignificant, and understanding why her boyfriend left, Hope turns to her youth minister for help; with one burning question in mind:

Who was she?

Set on a path of self-discovery, Hope finds her day to day both unraveling and piecing together like a jigsaw as her perception begins to alter.

Will she embrace how God defines her and ultimately learn what true happiness is?

About the Author

Since I could hold a pencil, I’ve be writing.

In primary school, I wrote stories about my pets, my own version of princess stories, a classroom crush…

In high school, I wrote stories about horses, adventures, my sister…

However, as strong as the writing hobby was, I still pursued a career in Veterinary Nursing.

It wasn’t until God intervened and moved me out of the city and into a small country town to be a farmer’s wife, that he resurfaced the writing desire – and gave me the stories. So was born my debut series, each book holding a part of my own testimony, Casts of Silver.

It is my prayer that you enjoy the journey these stories take you on, and that they challenge, encourage and inspire you.

More from K.J.

Hey! Thanks for stopping by!

Casts of Silver is my debut five book series. The series is centered around five youth group leaders, with the stories looking at very real circumstances that young people face in today’s world without sugar coating consequences of individual actions.

However, God is always at work.

But where is He when problems arise?

Well, He is always closer than you think and He’s always working for your good!

Enjoy.
God Bless
