Congratulations, Marguerite Gray, on your second Suamalie Islands book! This week is always fun. Readers get to see a deeper part of the authors well also checking out a new story and maybe entering a giveaway.
For her release week fun, Marguerite asked us this question…
In Conversation Hearts, Megan lets her opinions and words overflow without involving the other person in a true conversation. Once she listens, she finds a different conversation involving her heart. Have you ever spoken without thinking, even with good intentions?
I had to laugh when I first read her question. For me, sadly, it isn’t a matter of when I have spoken without thinking rather it is how often do I speak without thinking? Of course it’s never ill intention, I sincerely believe that no person sets out to offend or catch others offguard. But as you will see with my release at the end of this month, sometimes those that deal with the issues that I do, forget to insert the filter.
It doesn’t seem to matter how often I reread a post or an email or a text message, or how many times I try to choose my words carefully when I’m talking to my husband or one of my kids. There always seems to be something that I have said that is not received well. However, through God’s grace, I am learning to be even more cautious and mindful of what comes out of my mouth. It’s not always easy when many times I don’t even remember where I put my keys, let alone whether or not I inserted my filter on my mouth today. We are all a work in progress, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t need to try.

Conversation Hearts

Will she be able to save her father from the island’s magic before she falls victim to it herself?
When Megan Standish finds out about her father’s new relationship, she storms into the Suamalie Islands to rescue her father and carry him home to New Mexico. He’s firmly planted on Alexandre, however, but she refuses to let the island’s magic cast a spell on her decision. Even when a handsome islander and his daughter knock at her heart.
Jean Girard is a local with a flourishing transportation business taking passengers from island to island. When he encounters Megan’s stormy tirade on his boat, he promises to shelter his daughter and himself from her negative vibes. His concern continues to grow as he watches his daughter get attached to the American.
Either Jean will have to create an even bigger hedge of protection around his daughter and his heart from this pouty, controlling woman, or he will have to trust God to peel back the stubborn, hurting layers of the past and allow the miracle of His love again.
Take a trip to the Suamalie Islands where palm trees sway, the sand and sea pulse with life, and the people will steal your heart.

Oh Melissa! I agree with you about how I read and reread an email, text, and still take it wrong or I’m misunderstood. It’s tiring. Forgiveness is definitely needed. Happy reading! Blessings, Marguerite
