Love should be reckless
There are a handful of authors that I know I can count on that can write a story that will lift my spirits and make me ponder the beauty of God’s love and grace. Angela Ruth Strong has become one of those authors. Throughout the “Love Off Script” collection, she has managed to craft three stories that have not only transported me to the opposite side of the country (Michigan girl here) but to give me a glimpse of into her faith journey as well as her beautiful imagination.
Fiancé Finale is a delightful story of renewing love and renewed faith. I was saddened by Nicole’s view of herself as well as her relationship with others. It is a common thing when you don’t think highly about yourself to withdrawal from everyone. Including God.
Charlie, I thought, was a breath of fresh air – even if he was a little dim in regards to matters of the heart. But the respect he attempted to show while trying to love Nicole as a friend was beautiful. Sometimes we need the friendship more than the romantic relationship.
In the middle of the book, there was a wonderful thought by Charlie
“Perhaps thats the meaning of reckless love, God still loves us at our worst.”
This story is a hit and I am so glad I have the opportunity to share it with you.
