As I jam out to my 80s playlist on Apple Music, I am hit with all sorts of nostalgia while thinking about how these stories will be with me for a long time.

I barely made it into the Gen X Club, so every element of the movies that these stories reflected are part of my childhood and early teen years. The mirroring of modern takes on 80s rom-coms brought a smile to my face with every page. With hints of “Money Pit”, “While You Were Sleeping” or reverse “Overboard”, “Farris Bulers Day Off” and a few others I couldn’t recall at the time, this book had me looking through streaming apps to find these classics. (That doesn’t seem right to say an 80s movie is a classic?)

I can’t pick one of these to say I liked the best because each of these authors are excellent storytellers and I love them for putting this anthology together. THANKS A MILLION, LADIES!!!
